Flying home from Idaho one time, I saw out the plane window a break in the darkening sky that was like a crack into another realm.  The subtlety of the bands of color was hard to sketch but I diagramed the concept for future reference.  Leaving work one day on East 78th Street, I saw a stretcher left outside a gallery for "recycling", so I dashed home to get my station wagon at the time and was lucky to retrieve it.  Now, this 5.5' X 6.5' painting receives the most positive responses from my viewers than any other piece I have ever painted.  It comes with a thin, black hand-made frame and has its own crate, ready to ship or deliver.
